Lore
Predictably, this Bao's name is in reference to its mountainous stature. The most typical species of Bao, they are found in dry, arid regions. The spongy tissue contained within their bodies is able to store moisture found in the air when day transitions to night, as well as any ingested nutrients. This helps them survive for up to a month without food or water—which, to an adventurer, means that they can chase you non-stop for weeks on end.
