Performance tips

  • Set the in-game graphics preset to Performance mode for the smoothest 1080p / 60fps target.
  • Install the game to an SSD — it is required, and a slow drive causes hitching as new areas stream in.
  • Update to the latest NVIDIA / AMD / Intel graphics drivers before launch.
  • If you see frame drops on a mid-range GPU, lower the preset a step and cap your frame rate to a stable number rather than chasing peaks.

Frequently asked

Can my PC run Echoes of Aincrad?

You need Windows 11 (64-bit), DirectX 12, 8 GB of RAM, an SSD with 30 GB free, and at least an RTX 2060 / RX 5700 class GPU. With those, Performance mode targets 1080p / 60fps.

Is an SSD required?

Yes. An SSD is listed as required on both the minimum and recommended specs — the game streams areas in as you move, so a hard drive will cause stutter.

How much storage do I need?

30 GB of available space at launch.

Is there a Mac, Linux or Steam Deck version?

The PC release is Windows-only (64-bit). There is no native macOS or Linux build listed; the game also ships on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Why am I getting frame drops?

Frame dips on mid-range cards usually come down to the graphics preset and drive speed. Switch to Performance mode, make sure the game is on an SSD, update your GPU drivers, and cap your frame rate to a number your card can hold steadily.
