An experimental construct combining the strengths of other golem types, and intended to be the "ultimate" golem. However, due to fatal flaws in its inner circuitry, even its high elven creators couldn't maintain control over it. As a result, it was abandoned deep within an ancient ruin. Over time it learned to replicate itself by adapting its self-repair functionality, multiplying into new chimeric forms. Following their instinct to protect, these new golems dispersed to other ruins across the land.
