A fearsome chimeric beast combining the head of an owl, the razor-sharp talons and powerful wings of a hawk, and the elegant lower half of a horse. These creatures have an insatiable appetite for horse flesh, and can devastate even a moderately-sized caravan by devouring every horse in sight. It's said that when an Ash Griffin makes its nest near a trade route, the slow death of nearby towns is all but certain.
