Long-haired, multi-horned beasts that live mainly in high, mountainous areas. People indigenous to these areas have long believed them to be Light Spirits due to their ability to transform into glowing luminescent spheres that can move and attack at will. However, it is said that if you're ever lost in the mountains they inhabit at night, you should steer clear of any lights you might see floating amongst the shadows. Those who do not will find only darkness, lost forever in the wide and waiting umbral maw. Some researchers believe these are not naturally occurring creatures, but the result of ancient magical experiments. Others propose they are a mutation of the boar, whose tissues were altered by exposure to the highly dense magical energy coursing throughout Aincrad.
